Brent Venables his fourth-straight top-ten recruiting since…

The Oklahoma Sooners are assembling an impressive recruiting class for 2025. Head coach Brent Venables is aiming to secure his fourth consecutive top-ten class since taking over at OU.

An insider suggests that Venables and Miguel Chavis might be close to securing a key defensive recruit.

Nebraska insider Bryan Munson has predicted that Kade Pietrzak will commit to Oklahoma, a prediction made for On3 Sports. This isn’t the first time Oklahoma has been favored to land the 4-star defensive lineman.

Hailing from North Dakota, Pietrzak is ranked among the top 200 players nationally by On3 and is considered the best player in his state. He has played both defensive end and defensive tackle for Sheyenne High School.

At 6-foot-5 and 240 pounds, Pietrzak will need to bulk up to be effective in the SEC, but he already has good size for a defensive edge position.

Venables and Chavis extended an offer to Pietrzak in January. In May, Oklahoma insider Parker Thune also predicted Pietrzak would choose the Sooners. Pietrzak has additional offers from Nebraska, Kansas State, Wisconsin, and others.
