Despite committing to Florida State University in December of the previous year, the Florida Gators have persistently pursued Jacksonville (Fla.) Raines’ highly-rated offensive lineman, Solomon Thomas, aiming to sway his commitment.
Since his verbal commitment several months ago, Thomas has visited Florida twice this year, including a three-day stay in January. His most recent visit occurred at the end of March, during which he attended the Gators’ first spring scrimmage. Despite his commitment to FSU, Thomas still considers Florida and LSU as top contenders.
All three schools have hosted him for visits this spring, and they are scheduled to receive official visits from him when the summer official visit season begins.
