Arkansas marks its first transfer portal acquisition of the spring with Rodney Hill, formerly of Florida State, joining the Razorbacks’ running back ranks under the guidance of new coach Kolby Smith. Hill, a product of Statesboro, Ga., and a former four-star prospect ranked 235th in ESPN300’s class of 2022, brings his talents to Arkansas after playing two years with the Seminoles. During his time at FSU, Hill contributed 417 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns, showcasing his versatility with rushing, receiving, and special teams plays. In the 2023 season alone, he appeared in 11 games, tallying 190 rushing yards and a touchdown on 50 carries, along with five receptions for 83 yards and two kick returns.

Hill’s decision to commit coincides with Isaiah Augustave’s choice to enter the portal shortly after the conclusion of the Red-White game. This move adds depth to the running back group, which already features Ja’Quinden Jackson, Braylen Russell, Rashod Dubinion, and Dominique Johnson.
Pittman and the Arkansas coaching team are currently focused on utilizing the portal to address various positions of requirement, such as linebacker, wide receiver, and both defensive and offensive lines. The transfer portal deadline is set for April 30th.
