Rouse’s brief tenure at Oklahoma paved the way for his selection in the 2024 NFL draft by the Minnesota Vikings at the 177th overall pick in Round 6.
Although he only spent one year at Oklahoma, his performance as a super senior left tackle in all 12 games demonstrated his readiness for the next level. Prior to his time at Oklahoma, Rouse had a notable four-year career at Stanford, where he started 39 out of 40 games at left tackle.
His consistent performance earned him recognition, including being named Outland Trophy Player of the Week in October 2023 and receiving honorable mention All-Big 12 honors for his contributions in the same year.
Notably, he was praised for blocking two defensive players simultaneously during Oklahoma’s crucial touchdown pass against Texas in October 2023. Throughout his career, Rouse predominantly played at left tackle, amassing 3,410 snaps, with the majority (2,552) coming from his time at Stanford, according to PFF data.
